After a second round of blizzard conditions and all the snow baby quilt tops that came in (around 10), I have finally seen the light on the other side. Whew! It made for some long days and weekends but I’ve been able to hit my delivery dates. My customer’s patience and understanding has been wonderful. You have my utmost gratitude.

Some longarmers are still digging out, which brings me to my next topic. I don’t have the grandest customer base, but what I have works and I’m always accepting new customers and your kind referrals are always welcome.

There are a few changes for 2026. I never did a 2025 wrap up, but here are the important tidbits. T-shirt quilts, rates, and family time.

T-shirt quilts left my website (and my business) late fall of last year right as the holidays were starting. With the closing of JoAnn’s, increasing price of materials, and tariffs; the pricing barely paid for my time (it didn’t). In two years of business, I’ve only had a handful of orders. Not enough to justify maintaining inventory.

Rates… As promised, I did not raise any rates in 2025. Rates on batting may go up a few cents per inch when I reorder later this year. HOWEVER! I have longarming patterns that will be available at 2.5 cents per square inch (Meander, Malachite, and maybe one or two others TBD).

Lastly, our travel schedule this year is more about short ventures to see family or move kids in or out of college. Rather than continually flipping my website around to announce my absences, just watch social media or send me an email.

All the quilting best to you guys! And, check out this vintage top from an estate sale. It was a joy to bring it into its new life for a customer!
