Snowmageddon and Business As Usual?

2026 started quietly, which suited me fine. I was enjoying the few last days with my kids before college and school required their presence again. There was even a quick trip to Pittsburgh for our eldest’s white coat ceremony in the School of Pharmacy. (Proud parents here!) after which, we booked straight for home before the dreaded ‘Snowmageddon’.
Business had been slow, I wondered; where were all my regulars? Holiday burn out? A New Year’s resolution to quilt less? Naahhh, that couldn’t be. But what a wonder 12” of snow can do for business! School cancellations, frigid temperatures, events postponed… then, it came. Emails, texts, and the arrivals.
February is going to be a busy month indeed. I’m looking forward to pulling out my new thread and edge to edge designs for all of you!
